About the artist

Born in 1955, artist Eric Hyne grew up in western Nevada near the Sierras. From childhood he had an obvious talent for art. After High School he moved to Maryland to pursue formal art training. He enrolled at the Maryland Institute in Baltimore and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in 1977. For the next 10 years he worked in Christian schools in the Annapolis area where he married his sweetheart and started a family.

In 1987 he began a professional career as a free-lance illustrator and produced the artist’s conceptions architects and planners needed for their designs and development concepts. His 35 year commercial art career included sketches and renderings for everything from resorts to office buildings, embassies, stadiums and downtowns all over the US and around the globe.

Now retired, Eric paints landscapes and portraits in oil. Often he works outdoors in Plein Aire enjoying interaction with both scenery and people. His landscape subjects are taken from the American West and Pennsylvania’s Cumberland Valley. He and his wife Terri live in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. They enjoy gardening, the outdoors and spending time with their grandchildren, humbled by and grateful for God's goodness.

...and what matters more than all this?

The MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION puts things in perspective:

Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds (it’s no fairytale). He fulfilled all the prophecies of the promised Savior. Please, today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will forgive you and grant you the gift of eternal life (Ephesians. 2:8,9).
